THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MARMELLATA (R Munger) was unruly behind the stalls and stubborn loading. b) MONTANA NYMPH (M Yeni) was nervous in the stalls, kicked the back gates and jumped awkwardly, losing one length. c) ANTONIA AUGUSTA (S Khathi) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. d) CASSOWARY (G Wright) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performances of HEREWEGOJO (E Webber) and MARMELLATA (R Munger), which raced handy in the early stages and progressively gave ground to the field in the straight, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare and filly respectively. b) GRAPHENE AEROGEL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
