THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BOUQUET (J Mphanya) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	OPERA SWING (M Mjoka) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.
c)	CHLORIS (R Munger) jumped outwards.
d)	PANZANELLA (G Wright) and MON TRESOR (M Yeni) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a) 	SOUTH WESTER (IRE) (R Fourie) pulled hard in the early and middle stages and failed to respond to Jockey R Fourie's urgings in the straight. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
b)	Apprentice KA Brewer reported that GODDESS OF LIGHT made an abnormal respiratory noise in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
c)	From the 100m SOUTH WESTER (IRE) (R Fourie) shifted in away from crop and had to be straightened in the finish.
d)	The saddle of MISS MILLSTREAM (L Mxothwa) slipped back in running, placing her rider at a disadvantage. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward.
e)	FOR ALL WE KNOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
