THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MARMARA SEA (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a) 	Shortly after the start TARANTINO (*KA Brewer) was steadied away from the heels of ABLUEAZURE (X Ndlovu).
b)	At the 200m YOU KNOW WHO (S Khumalo) was steadied and had to be directed to the inside of CAT DADDY (L Mxothwa) when unable to secure a clear run between the outside running rail and CAT DADDY (L Mxothwa) which gradually shifted outwards. Jockey L Mxothwa appeared before the Board and was advised to take more care and to be more aware of other runners when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
c) 	In view of the performance of MARMARA SEA (R Fourie) (Betting 5/1 ; Distance 5.85) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	CAT DADDY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen, acting on behalf of Trainer GS Kotzen, was advised. (LM)
