THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	AFRICAN SKYLINE (A Mgudlwa) reared in the stalls and got its front leg caught up in the starting stalls.  This gelding was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently withdrawn.
b)	GRAPPLER (* M K Katjedi) was restless, reared in the stalls and got its front leg caught up in the starting stalls.  This gelding was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently withdrawn. Trainer K Naidoo will be advised to re-school this gelding.  
c)	SAMUEL SALT (C Habib) and GO MAN GO (*R A Venniker) lost one length.
d)	BLUE PLANET (S Moodley) lost two lengths. 
e)	DESOLATE ROAD (S Veale) was restless in the stalls. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	DONQUERARI (A Arries) over-raced in the early stages.  In view of the performance of this colt (9.30 lengths, and 16/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
b)	GO MAN GO (*R A Venniker) was baulked from the 350m to the 300m and was thereafter switched out to obtain a clear run.
c)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to AFRICAN SKYLINE (A Mgudlwa), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion.  Suspension dates: 24.10.22to the 30.10.22.  AFRICAN SKYLINE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.  Trainer G B Puller will be advised. (TM)
d)	FATHER'S FROST (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Naidoo advised (DZ).
