Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WARBONNET CREEK (IRE) (+T Ncume) and SKY JEWEL (+M Duba) were slow into stride. b) TYGER FLY (+I Lukhele) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, DAME COLLEEN (+T Lukhele) and GIMME A DIAMOND (+S Siphika) became unbalanced and lost momentum when awkwardly placed between BROADWAY (+B Cossa) and HEARTS THUNDER (+T Mayhew), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) TYGER FLY (+I Lukhele) took an awkward stride after making contact with the inside running rail at the 1100m. c) Leaving the 100m, TYGER FLY (+I Lukhele) was steadied when running into restricted galloping room between BLACK LIGHTNING (+P Mongqawa) and NOBLE KINGDOM (+W van Staden). d) Shortly after the finish line, NOBLE KINGDOM (+W van Staden) shied away from the course photographer who was standing in close proximity to the inside running rail. The course photographer was advised against the practice of standing in this position. e) GLOBAL APPROACH (+S Mkhumbuzi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee J Crawford, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised (AH). WORK RIDER CHANGES: a) BAD HAIR DAY: Work Rider D Botha weighed out at 55,7kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight as declared b) BROADWAY was ridden by Work Rider B Cossa (declared 27 October 2022 at 10H05). To be investigated. c) SEVEN WONDERS: Work Rider A Feni weighed out at 59kg, 1kg over the carded weight. Work Rider A Feni was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight on the horse SEVEN WONDERS, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Work Rider A Feni signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one Work Rider race. Date of Suspension: 24 November 2022. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BLACK LIGHTNING raced with a pressure halter (declared 20 October 2022 at 10H30). b) BAD HAIR DAY raced without blinkers and a tongue tie (declared 25 October 2022 at 17H19). c) DAME COLLEEN raced without cheekpieces (declared 26 October 2022 at 18H53). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) SKY JEWEL mouth injury. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
