THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STREET'S AHEAD (M Thackeray) and CRUSADE'S PLEASURE (R Munger) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) COFFEEBERRY (K de Melo) and ROWINS DREAM (M Yeni) over-raced in the early stages. b) STREET'S AHEAD (M Thackeray) raced awkwardly with its head up entering the turn. c) Approaching the 300m, SASSY (C Maujean) was carried out by APACHE FIGHTER (R Danielson), which rolled out and was immediately straightened. Thereafter, at the 150m, SASSY (C Maujean) was carried out yet again by APACHE FIGHTER (R Danielson), which continued to hang out and thereafter ducked out sharply from the advertising board. Stable Employee C Botha, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Magner, appeared before the Board and was advised to take the necessary corrective measures to improve APACHE FIGHTER'S racing manners. d) APACHE FIGHTER (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
