THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DOUBLE DESTINY (T Gould) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride.
b)	PREVALENCE (M Yeni) jumped outwards and was slow into stride.
c)	ICONIC DESTINATION (G van Niekerk) and THEN IN FOCUS (M Mjoka) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a) 	Shortly after the start DOUBLE DESTINY (T Gould) had to be steadied when awkwardly placed between KHAYA'S HOPE (K de Melo) and GRINKOV (G Lerena), which jumped outwards.
b)	ZATARA MAGIC (S Khumalo) and THEN IN FOCUS (M Mjoka) raced with their heads up on a number of occasions while being restrained when attempting to obtain cover in the early stages.
c)	GRINKOV (G Lerena) was hanging in from the 500m.
d)	Jockey R Fourie reported that COASTAL PATH made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	KHAYA'S HOPE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised. (LM)
