Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PHILOSOPHISE (A Domeyer) jumped slow, losing one length and made contact with MY CHERIE AMOUR (M Winnaar). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) When questioned Jockey A Marcus, the rider of ACT NATURALLY, said that he had received no instructions from his Trainer and told the Stewards that, after a fair beginning, he was content to follow SHARE ALIKE (G Cheyne) in the early stages. Thereafter, at the 600m, he elected to direct ACT NATURALLY outwards to follow PHILOSOPHISE (A Domeyer) which was travelling better in the race, in his opinion. Leaving the 400m he switched the filly outwards to obtain clear running and she finished the race strongly. When asked if ACT NATURALLY had a short run in, Jockey A Marcus replied in the negative and said that this filly would not be limited in her scope of how she races. b) SHARE ALIKE (G Cheyne) was hanging out in the closing stages. c) PACIFIC GREEN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (TJ) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Nil RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
