THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STAR CRUSADE (R Khathi) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT (S Veale) was allowed to improve around the field and raced to the lead, passing the 1100m. b) At the 300m, FLEET COMMANDER (K de Melo) had to ease when awkwardly placed between ONE SHOT WONDER (S Moodley) and COROMANDEL (A Arries) which had tired and come to the end of its run. Shortly thereafter, PEDRO (*G Pieterse) and COROMANDEL (A Arries) became unbalanced when bumped out by FLEET COMMANDER (K de Melo) which was carried out marginally by ONE SHOT WONDER (S Moodley). c) UNIQUE POWER (*R A Venniker) was hanging out from the 250m. d) FLEET COMMANDER (K de Melo) was hanging in. in the concluding stages. e) Jockey S Moodley signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 66.4 in that as the rider of ONE SHOT WONDER, he weighed in more than 1kg above the weight at which he was declared out. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. f) CAESURA (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright advised (NS).
