Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MUSIC BOX SPECIAL (M van Rensburg) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	VIDA FUTURA (R Fourie), SILVER CELEBRITY (E Webber) and THE REFLEX (T Gould) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 1700m ALMIGHWAAR (R Munger) and TRACK COMMANDER (S Khumalo) were steadied when tightened for galloping room on the inside of YOUNG NELSON (M Yeni) which, after being carried in by MASTERS QUEEN (M Mjoka), showed a tendency to hang in. Jockey M Yeni appeared before the Board and was told that he needs to take more care and be more aware of runners to his inside in similar circumstances. 
b)	SILVER CELEBRITY (E Webber) proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages.
c)	Jockey M van Rensburg reported that he felt something amiss with MUSIC BOX SPECIAL and he eased this gelding out of the race from the 200m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine.
d)	Jockey T Gould reported that THE REFLEX took no interest in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
e)	Jockey S Khathi reported that MASTER VISION took no interest in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	ALMAS TOWER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM)
