THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	Fair start.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	On arrival at the start SILVANO'S TIMER (K de Melo) slipped its bridle, which proved difficult to replace, causing a delay.
b)	Leaving the 200m RASCALLION (C Orffer) had to be checked away from the heels of JET DARK (R Fourie) when carried out by GOLDEN DUCAT (A Domeyer) which was carried out by SILVER OPERATOR (G van Niekerk), which shifted out from the 250m. An Inquiry will be held into this incident.
c)	SILVANO'S TIMER (K de Melo) was unable to secure a clear run in the straight until leaving the 200m.
d)	In view of the performance of CROWN TOWERS (AUS) (G Wright) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	In view of the performance of SENSO UNICO (S Veale) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	JET DARK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (CvA)
