THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	Fair start.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	BAYBERRY (*R Venniker) and IZAPHA (G van Niekerk) proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
b)	WINCHESTER MANSION (L Mxothwa) was difficult to settle in the early and middle stages, commenced to hang outwards from the 1100m and proved difficult to assist. As a consequence, this colt raced wide on the bend.
c)	HYDE PARK (S Khumalo) commenced to hang out under pressure in the closing stages.
d)	Jockey L Mxothwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 66.4 (read with Guideline 1 on overweight) in that he, as the rider of WINCHESTER MANSION, weighed back in at 55.6kgs, 1.1kg in excess of the weight at which he was declared out. (54.5kgs)
