THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DEVILS AND DUST (J Gates) and DIAMONDS N DOLLARS (A Arries) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) Jockey S Veale (SYMMETRY) and Jockey S Moodley (FAMILY FAVOURITE ) reported their respective mounts did not stride out freely in the running and as a result did not persevere with their rides in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Approaching the 200m, LEOPARD LADY (N Patel) was switched to the outside of RASPBERRY BERET (T Godden) to continue its run. d) RASPBERRY BERET (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Hewitson advised (DZ).
