Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BLACK SILVER (G van Niekerk) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	For some distance leaving the 1200m CELTIC NIGHT (L Mxothwa) and SO FLAWLESS (R Fourie) raced in restricted galloping room on the inside of SILVER DARLING (M Yeni). Jockey M Yeni appeared before the Board and was advised to give more room to runners on his inside in similar circumstances.
b)	Leaving the 400m BLACK SILVER (G van Niekerk) was brushed by SCENTED MISTRESS (B Fayd'Herbe) which rolled out marginally and was consequently turned outwards and commenced to hang outwards thereafter.
c)	JASMINE (M Winnaar) was held up for clear running on the heels of CATCHAFALLINGSTAR (K de Melo) and REWRITE THE STARS (*J Solomons) between the 500m and 400m and commenced to hang out badly thereafter.
d)	SO FLAWLESS (R Fourie) was switched outwards to continue her run at the 300m.
e)	Jockey G Cheyne, the rider of DO ANGELS CRY, which was hanging out throughout and proved difficult to assist, reported this filly raced with her tongue over the bit. This was confirmed by the course veterinary surgeon. 
f)	Trainer GS Kotzen was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to have available the registered colours of the owner of the horse MUSICAL GLITCH. Assistant Trainer D McLachlan, acting on behalf of Trainer GS Kotzen, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer GS Kotzen was given the penalty of a warning.
g)	PINK TOURMALINE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised. (SC)
h)	BLACK SILVER, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised (JF)
