THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PATH TO FREEDOM (J Gates) jumped awkwardly losing 2 lengths. b) MOON HARVEST (R Fourie) and WALLACE SWORD (*S Hlengwa) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, WALLACE SWORD (*S Hlengwa) was carried out marginally by MAC HARDY (R Khathi), which jumped out leaving the starting stalls. b) PATH TO FREEDOM (J Gates) over-raced in the early stages. c) In the concluding stages MOON HARVEST (R Fourie) was inconvenienced on the outside of LORD EDWARD (*R A Venniker) which was hanging out and rolled out marginally. d) Jockey R Fourie reported that MOON HARVEST made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) MAC HARDY (R Khathi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
