THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROYAL OASIS (R Fourie) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 200m, ROYAL OASIS (R Fourie) was steadied off the heels of STEALTH ATTACK (K de Melo) which rolled out marginally. Thereafter, ROYAL OASIS (R Fourie) was baulked for a clear run in the concluding stages. b) At the 100m, Jockey K Matsunyane (MISS DORA) accidentally dropped his left side rein, which he regained at the finish. c) Jockey J Gates reported that he felt something amiss with TASTE MAKER in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of HONEY LAND (C Ngcobo) (9.30 lengths, 7/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) WHISPERING GREEN (*S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
