THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SAMSAI (A Mgudlwa) was hanging out from the 400m. b) In the concluding stages BLAZING KISS (S Moodley) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the outside of VALERIAS DREAM (T Godden) which shifted out away from the crop. A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board into this incident. After viewing the patrol videos from the various angles, no further action was taken. c) Jockey T Godden (VALERIAS DREAM) appeared before the Board and was advised to take the necessary corrective measure sooner in order to keep his mounts straight in future. d) VALERIAS DREAM (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
