THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE APPEAL (N Patel) was restless in the stalls and lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Apprentice D Geerthsen reported that his saddle slipped back in the running. This was confirmed by the video evidence. b) At the 1300m, MANHATTEN CAFE (T Godden) and in turn BILLY BAZOOKA (*M K Katjedi) were carried out by THE APPEAL (N Patel), which rolled out. As a result QUEUE WING (S Moodley) was carried out by MANHATTEN CAFE (T Godden). c) QUEUE WING (S Moodley) which was hanging in from the 400m, proving difficult to assist, shifted in sharply towards THE APPEAL (N Patel) at the 150m and was immediately corrected. d) IRON WILL (*R A Venniker) was hanging out around the turn. e) Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with MANHATTEN CAFE in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) QUEUE WING (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Puller advised (DZ).
