THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COOL WINTER (*S Sosibo) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses which participated in this race carried sectional timing devices in their saddle cloths. b) As the start was effected, RIDGERUNNER (K de Melo) was bumped by COOL WINTER (*S Sosibo) which jumped awkwardly outwards leaving the stalls. c) GOLIATH HERON (R Munger) shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. d) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that KWITE A TRIP made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with KINGS ROAD in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) SHELDON (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (MS).
