Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DOG DETACHMENT (*RA Venniker) was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls, causing a delay b) THIS TIME ROUND (JP van der Merwe) was nervous and unruly in the stalls and dislodged Jockey JP van der Merwe. c) SEISMIC EVENT (M Yeni) was nervous in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Stewards reviewed the start with regards to THIS TIME ROUND (JP van der Merwe) in stall gate 5 and established that this colt had become fractious and dislodged Jockey JP van der Merwe shortly before the start was effected, which resulted in the Handler being unable to release THIS TIME ROUND (JP van der Merwe). The Stewards, acting in terms of Rule 61.5.10.2 declared THIS TIME ROUND to be a non-runner. b) In view of the report from the starter regarding DOG DETACHMENT (*RA Venniker) this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load and stand in the starting stalls with a companion. Suspension dates: 12/11/2022 to 18/11/2022 inclusive). DOG DETACHMENT may not be presented for re-passing during this period. c) In view of the report from the starter regarding THIS TIME ROUND (JP van der Merwe) this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion.
