THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JUSTFORTHEEPENNY (C Dicken) jumped awkwardly losing two lengths. b) RODRIGUEZ (A Arries) slow losing three lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approximately the 600m, RICCARDO (M Yeni) was carried out by CAPTAIN SPIRIT (*D Geerthsen) which was hanging out around the turn. b) Approaching the 200m, CRESTED EAGLE (*R Venniker) jumped over a white object which had blown onto the racetrack and as a result, this gelding lost momentum. c) GIAMBATTISTA (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 200m. d) Jockey S Khumalo reported that ALL THE TIME changed stride in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey C Dicken reported that JUSTFORTHEEPENNY took a number of awkward strides in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) STRAWBERRY BEAR (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
