THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAINBOW THIEF (C Maujean) was stubborn loading. b) SOUND CHECK (T Gould) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ZAMBAQ (X Ndlovu) took an awkward stride shortly after the start. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) CIVIL RIGHTS (JP van der Merwe) shifted out away from the crop on two occasions at the 200m and approaching the 100m and had to be straightened. c) In view of the performance of SOUND CHECK (T Gould) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) RED BERRY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
