THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PARIS OPERA (K Minnie), RIGHT CHOICE (JP van der Merwe) and CHERE FOR ME (*RA Venniker) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CROWN PLAZA (S Khumalo) raced wide without cover on the bend and into the straight. b) At the 50m CHERE FOR ME (*RA Venniker) changed stride, rolled in and had to be straightened. c) Jockey M Mjoka reported that QUENANZA made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) PRINCESS DEB'S, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DA McKenzie was advised.
