THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	HEREWEGOJO (S Devoy) jumped inwards, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.
b)	LITTLE MISS KJ (L Mxothwa) and DONNA'S STAR (J Mphanya) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Leaving the 600m NELLIE BLY went amiss and fell, dislodging Jockey M Mjoka. NELLIE BLY (M Mjoka) was attended to on course by the veterinary surgeon. As a consequence, HEREWEGOJO (S Devoy), which was following, had to be steadied and taken wide on the track to avoid the fallen horse.
b)	LITTLE MISS KJ (SB Kotzen) was hanging in in the straight.
c)	Jockey J Mphanya reported that DONNA'S STAR did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d)	An investigation will be opened to establish why WONDER WOMAN and RUNNINGFORTHESTARS were not presented at the racecourse at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the first (1st) race. 
e)	Trainer GD Smith was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.1.2 in that he failed to ensure that NELLIE BLY and DONNA'S STAR were presented at the racecourse at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the first (1st) race. Trainer GD Smith signed Admission of Guilt and was fined R500,00.
f)	Trainer SB Kotzen was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.1.2 in that she failed to ensure that LITTLE MISS KJ was presented at the racecourse at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the first (1st) race. Trainer SB Kotzen signed Admission of Guilt and was fined R250,00.
g)	RUNNINGFORTHESTARS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Kaknis was advised. (LM)
