Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MOUNT ANDERSON (T Gould) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	REGIMENTAL (E Webber) and MR FITZ (M Mjoka) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	MOUNT ANDERSON (T Gould) raced wide on the latter part of the bend and into the straight.
b)	At the 200m FLY MY FLAG (L Mxothwa) had to be steadied and made contact with the hindquarters of MOUNT ANDERSON (T Gould) when carried out by CELTILLUS (R Fourie), which was carried out by BOLD RESOLVE (X Ndlovu), which was directed outwards away from the heels of GLOBAL DRUMMER (K de Melo) to secure clear running.
c)	In view of the performance of MR FITZ (M Mjoka), which gave ground to the field quickly in the straight, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	Jockey L Mxothwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 66.4 (read with Guideline 1 on overweight) in that he, as the rider of FLY MY FLAG, weighed back in at 56.8kgs, 1.3kg in excess of the weight at which he was declared out at.  Jockey L Mxothwa signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R2000.00
e)	BOLD RESOLVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
