THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	STREET OUTLAW (S Veale), PIROSHKA (A Domeyer) and ICONIC DESTINATION (G van Niekerk) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race.
b)	TROMPIE (S Khumalo) was hanging in and proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
c)	Leaving the 200m ITSRAININGWILLIAM (L Mxothwa), which was hanging in and raced with its head turned awkwardly, shifted in and had to be steadied away from the heels of TROMPIE (S Khumalo). 
d)	CAPTAIN BOMBSHELL (JP van der Merwe) had to be steadied momentarily when improving into a narrow run between ITSRAININGWILLIAM (L Mxothwa) and PIROSHKA (A Domeyer) at the 100m.
e)	Jockey G van Niekerk reported that ICONIC DESTINATION hung in from the 500m, changed legs continually, felt uncomfortable in its action and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
f)	WE'RE JAMMING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was
g)	STREET OUTLAW, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer MH Maingard was advised. (CvA)

a)	A Domeyer rode PIROSHKA +1.5kgs. The Stewards allowed this weight in terms of the weight restriction of 59.5kgs imposed on Jockey A Domeyer (declared 12h11 on 20221118)
