THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAYA'S CAT (A Mgudlwa) was stubborn to load. b) BAR VISIONS (C Ngcobo) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, DOUBLE RUGGED (C Dicken) was squeezed out between LAW COURT (T Gumede) which jumped out and SWIFT NICKS (*D Geerthsen) which jumped in. b) HUNTERS ARROW (R Fourie) was hanging out from the 400m. c) TIGKITA (S Khumalo) was hanging out from the 200m. d) Jockey S Moodley's crop (MEETATTHEWINDSOR) became briefly entangled in his reins in the concluding stages. e) In view of the performance of MASTER OF DEFENSE (*R Venniker) (12.05 lengths, 25/2 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) MEETATTHEWINDSOR (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
