THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CANDY FOR MY MOMMY (A Mgudlwa) was restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. b) RIDE THE LIGHTNING (*S Hlengwa) restless and reared in the stalls on two occasions. Trainer G Puller will be advised to re-school this filly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, PERFECT APPEAL (C Dicken), CALULO (M Yeni), ETHIOPIAN QUEEN (*M Katjedi) and BECKONING BEAUTY (C Habib) were carried out by CANDY FOR MY MOMMY (A Mgudlwa) which jumped out sharply. As a consequence of this, BECKONING BEAUTY (C Habib) lost ground to the field. b) Jockey T Gumede reported that FAEEZAHS PRINCESS did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) GET IN THE Q (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Dixon advised (NS).
