THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ICE SUNSATION (R Khathi) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 1200m, LADY MACBETH (A Arries) rolled out and thereafter was eased off the heels of TOTO'S DREAM (D De Gouveia). b) An Inquiry will be opened in order to establish why LADY MCBETH (A Arries) suffered interference at the 300m. c) Leaving the 150m, TOTO'S DREAM (D De Gouveia) was switched in off the heels of ICE SUNSATION (R Khathi) which shifted out. In assessing this incident, the Board was satisfied that Jockey R Khathi (ICE SUNSATION) was sufficiently clear when shifting out, however, Jockey R Khathi appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take timeous corrective measures to ensure that his mounts keep a straight course in races in future. d) QUEST FROM AFAR (C Habib) raced wide around the turn. e) Jockey M Yeni reported that AMBERGLO STAR suffered post-race distress. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the performance of QUEST FROM AFAR (C Habib) (15.00 lengths, 7/2 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) LUNA ECLIPSE (*R Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
