THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NEVER ENDING RAIN (S Khumalo) was nervous in the stalls and jumped outwards. b) PEACE IN OUR WORLD (JP van der Merwe) was squeezed out leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of FIRST STREET (C Maujean), which progressively gave ground to the field from the 800m and was not persevered with from the 150m, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare. b) SANTA THERESE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
