THE STARTER REPORTED: a) I'VE GOT WINGS (J Gates) and FRENCH PRINCESS (*S Hlengwa) were restless as the start was effected, jumped awkwardly and lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) I'VE GOT WINGS (J Gates) was squeezed out shortly after the start. b) CAN'T CATCH ME (T Godden) over-raced in the early and middle stages. c) SCARLET WOMAN (R Khathi) over-raced in the early stages and thereafter raced wide around the bend and into the straight. d) Jockey R Khathi (SCARLET WOMAN) reported that the bit pulled through this filly's mouth in the running. e) Jockey A Arries reported that DILLUH did not act in a prevailing slightly soft track condition. f) Jockey C Ngcobo reported that LOVE OF GOLD did not stride out freely in the running, as a result, he did not persevere with his ride in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) EDVIGE (C Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead advised (DZ).
