Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	SECOND BASE (G Lerena) was slow losing one length.
b)	ZILLZAAL (L Mxothwa) stumbled leaving the stalls.
c)	SUPER SILVANO (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.


THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	At approximately the 400m, SAFE PASSAGE (M Yeni) and ARAGOSTA (R Fourie) were carried out by LITIGATION (*P Mxoli) which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately straightened.
b)	In the concluding stages, PUERTO MANZANO (ARG) (K de Melo) which hung out and SAFE PASSAGE (M Yeni) which shifted in away from the crop, came together and bumped.
c)	Jockey K Matsunyane reported that SUPER SILVANO made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	PUERTO MANZANO (ARG) (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (AH).
e)	SAFE PASSAGE (M Yeni), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana advised (MdP).
f)	ARAGOSTA (R Fourie), placed third, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana advised (LK).
g)	In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning MK'S PRIDE, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended from racing for a period of sixty days in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.  Trainer M F de Kock advised (NHA).
