THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STAR CHOICE (M Yeni) and AISLING (K Matsunyane) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start DOLLAR A DIME (*R A Venniker) jumped in, brushed AISLING (K Matsunyane) and thereafter stumbled. b) LIKE IT HOT (S Veale) over-raced in the early and middle stages, proving difficult to assist. c) TOTO (S Moodley) was hanging in from the 300m. d) Jockey J Gates the rider of RETAIL THERAPY reported that he felt something amiss in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Trainer W Badenhorst signed an admission of guilt for Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate RETAIL THERAPY against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Accordingly a penalty of R1000 was imposed. f) AISLING (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Naidoo advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) STAR CHOICE raced fitted with blinkers (28.11.22/07H40).
