THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GLITTERING GIRL (G Lerena) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GLITTERING GIRL (G Lerena) took a number of awkward strides from the 200m and, as a consequence, Jockey G Lerena did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey G Lerena reported that GLITTERING GIRL did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) AGA HEAT (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G H van Zyl advised (AH).
