THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SIR THEODORE (T Gumede) was slow losing 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) IMPERIAL BLISS (J Gates) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. Thereafter, this gelding commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m. b) Jockey T Godden reported that FIRE TONIC was blowing. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) SIR THEODORE (T Gumede), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Naidoo advised (DZ).
