THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CONNECTION (M Yeni) jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The bandage fitted on the right hind hock of SIBERIAN FOX (L Mxothwa) came adrift approaching the 200m. After consulting with the veterinary surgeon, the Stewards were satisfied that the bandage had been correctly fitted. This matter was brought to the attention of Trainer Z Oosthuizen. b) Jockey M Yeni reported that CONNECTION did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that GLITTERFOX changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) SEISMIC EVENT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised (LM).
