THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RED SPHERE (M Mjoka) was stubborn loading. b) LITTLE MISS KJ (L Mxothwa) was nervous in the stalls. c) TEXAS TORNADO (Y Ramzan) jumped outwards. d) HAZY CRAZY NIGHT (S Khathi) jumped slow, losing one length. e) LADY CHARTOUCHE (R Fourie) jumped inwards, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start LITTLE MISS KJ (L Mxothwa) was bumped inwards by LOVIN' YOU BABY (R Munger), which shifted in leaving the stalls. b) Jockey R Fourie reported that LADY CHARTOUCHE did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) DREAMT I COULD FLY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised (LM).
