THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Jockey M Yeni (ATKINSON GRIMSHAW) briefly lost his left-side stirrup iron leaving the stalls.
b)	Leaving the 300m IRISH RAIN (M van Rensburg) had to be steadied away from the heels of MOTOR CITY HITMAN (S Khumalo), which shifted in and was immediately straightened.
c)	Jockey L Mxothwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on VAN GOGH. Jockey L Mxothwa signed an admission of guilt and was fined R3000.00. 
d)	Taking into account Jockey L Mxothwa's recent contraventions of the Rules pertaining to overweight, the Stewards will be recommending to the Racing Control Executive that Jockey L Mxothwa's weight restriction be reviewed. 
e)	ZIG ZAG, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised (LM).
