THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	CELTIC RUMOURS (C Habib) and COUNT YOUR CHANCES (N Klink) were stubborn loading.
b)	RAINING RUBIES (N Qaule) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
c)	KINKY BOOTS (M van Rensburg), MOLLY BLOOM (D De Gouveia) and PERFORM (F Herholdt)	were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	MISAVA (R Danielson)	and MOLLY BLOOM (D De Gouveia), after being slow away, failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field throughout. Thereafter, Jockey R Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with MISAVA in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 
b)	GRACIOUS ROCK (J Penny) commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m.
c)	KINKY BOOTS (M van Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (AH).
d)	VIRGIN RIVER (R Simons), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
