THE STARTER REPORTED 

A)	UPLIFTED, INNERSPACE and CHARLIE MCCREEVY were slow away and lost 1 length respectively.
B)	YOUNG NELSON was slow into stride.
C)	WHOLE OF THE MOON jumped inwards leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED

A)	Jockey M Yeni reported that YOUNG NELSON did not stride out freely in the running.  The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
B)	Jockey E Webber reported that he felt something amiss with UPLIFTED in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
C)	BOLD STRIKE (*K A Brewer) was hanging in from the 150m.
D)	In the concluding stages, QUEEN LOUISE (X Ndlovu) was carried out marginally by CANE LIME 'N SODA (W Kennedy) which was hanging out from the 200m.
E)	The saddle on CONSTELLATION CODE (J Mphanya) slipped forward badly in the running. This was confirmed by the Stipendiary Board. As a consequence, it placed Jockey J Mphanya at a disadvantage and could not fully assist his mount out throughout the race.
F)	The winner CANE LIME 'N SODA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer G D Smith advised (LM).
