Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GO LIKE FLO (G van Niekerk) was reluctant to load, restless in the stalls, jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. b) HIERKOMMIEBOKKIE (G Behr) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed as there was a total power disruption on course. b) At the 100m, while racing in close proximity, YGRITTE (L Mxothwa) was struck on the head by Jockey A Domeyer's' (WAR EMPRESS) crop. c) In the concluding stages, Jockey G Behr was unable to ride HIERKOMMIEBOKKIE to the finish when awkwardly placed between HUNDREDFIFTHAVENUE (K de Melo) and WAR EMPRESS (A Domeyer), both of which shifted ground marginally shortly before the finish. d) In view of the report from the starter regarding GO LIKE FLO (G van Niekerk), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 12/12/2022 to 18/12/2022 inclusive). GO LIKE FLO may not be presented for re-passing during this period. e) WHY NOT JACKIE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PD Reeves was advised.
