THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	HEREINAFTER (*R Venniker) lost one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	At the 1100m, LEBANESE POUND (K de Melo) was brushed by TRAFALGAR SQUARE (M Yeni), which rolled in.
b)	In the concluding stages BECKONING BEAUTY (*M Katjedi) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the heels of TRAFALGAR SQUARE (M Yeni), which shifted out. A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by the Apprentice *M Katjedi on behalf of the fourth placed horse BECKONING BEAUTY against the second placed TRAFALGAR SQUARE (M Yeni) on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Board upheld the objection.  Consequently, the Board was satisfied that but for the above incident, BECKONING BEAUTY would have finished ahead of TRAFALGAR SQUARE (M Yeni), therefore it upheld the objection and amended the Judge's result to read 5X4X6X3X1. 
Jockey M Yeni signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of TRAFALGAR SQUARE he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BECKONING BEAUTY (*M Katjedi) in the concluding stages.  Accordingly a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed (suspension dates to be advised).
c)	Trainer K Naidoo was questioned regarding the poor performance of CANDY FOR MY MOMMY'S (T Gumede) previous run on the 20th of November 2022 at Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse. Mr Naidoo explained that CANDY FOR MY MOMMY was restless in the stalls and thereafter jumped awkwardly which resulted in this filly losing ground at the start and failed to make it up during the running of the race. This in his opinion, had accounted for the poor performance. The Board noted the explanation.
d)	CANDY FOR MY MOMMY (T Gumede), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Naidoo advised (DZ). 
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	Jockey T Gumede the rider of CANDY FOR MY MOMMY weighed out at 52.6kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 52kg.
