THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SALIENT POINT (R Khathi) and SACRED LILY (K Matsunyane) lost one length. b) EXPRESSIVITY (C Dicken) lost three lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, Apprentice S Hlengwa (SATURN MOON) lost his footing off his right side stirrup iron, which he regained shortly thereafter. b) Shortly after the start, JESSIE BAY (M Yeni) stumbled badly, which resulted in Jockey M Yeni becoming unbalanced. c) SATURN MOON (*S Hlengwa) raced wide in the early stages. d) DILLUH (T Godden) and SEA CRUISE (S Moodley) were hanging in from the 300m. e) NONOTI (*R Venniker) was hanging in from the 250m. f) LUCK OF THE IRIS (N Patel) was continually baulked for a clear run between the 150m and 50m. g) After the running of this Race, during the weighing in process, Jockey C Dicken (EXPRESSIVITY) weighed back in at 0.6kg under the weight at which he was declared out. Consequently, an objection was lodged by the Clerk of Scales against EXPRESSIVITY. After considering the evidence and acting in terms of Rule 62.8.11, the objection was upheld and in terms of Rule 69.7, EXPRESSIVITY was disqualified from the Race. An Inquiry will be opened into the above incident. h) SEA CRUISE (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Campbell advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) CAPTAIN MARVEL raced with a compression mask and ear muffs (advised 14.12.2022 / 08h41). b) Jockey C Ngcobo was the rider of CAPTAIN MARVEL (advised 14.12.2022 / 08h14).
