Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE APPEAL (T Godden) refused to load and was withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, HAVE A GO JO (S Moodley) and ARTIC TUNE (K Matsunyane) came together and bumped. As a consequence of this, HAVE A GO JO (S Moodley) bumped TOM'S ACT (M Yeni) which in turn bumped WAR MAN (T Gumede). b) At the 350m, STRAIGHT UP (S Khumalo) was bumped out by WAR MAN (T Gumede) which shifted out away from the crop. c) TOM'S ACT (M Yeni) was hanging in from the 300m. d) In the concluding stages, ARTIC TUNE (K Matsunyane) and STRAIGHT UP (S Khumalo) raced in close proximity to the finish. A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into the concluding stages of this race. After viewing the patrol videos from the various angles, no further action was taken. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to THE APPEAL (T Godden), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 15.12.2022 - 21.12.2022. THE APPEAL may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A Wright was advised. (BN) f) WITH PLEASURE (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting on behalf of Trainer D Kannemeyer was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) MADIBA'S CUPPA raced without blinkers (advised 14.12.2022 / 07h29).
