Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EURYDICE (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) TREE FAIRY (R Simons) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, REGGIES GIRL (*S Sosibo), jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls, resulting in Apprentice S Sosibo briefly losing his footing to the left-side stirrup iron. Thereafter, at approximately the 1200m, REGGIES GIRL (*S Sosibo) took an awkward stride, when momentarily inconvenienced on the inside of TURNTHEBEATAROUND (M Yeni), which rolled in. This resulted in Apprentice S Sosibo becoming momentarily unbalanced. b) EURYDICE (K Matsunyane) took an awkward stride shortly after the start. c) SUMMER OF DREAMS (N Klink), which over-raced in the early stages, was steadied and directed outwards to avoid running onto the heels of MAPULE (N Qaule) at the 1000m. d) SAVE THE QUEEN (J P van der Merwe), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
