Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	QUASIMODO (S Khathi) was restless in the stalls, dislodged Jockey S Khathi.  QUASIMODO was removed from the stalls, examined by the course veterinary surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded.
b) 	SARDO NUMSPA (JP van der Merwe) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride.
c)	RACINANTE (C Maujean) was nervous in the stalls and kicked the back gates of the starting stalls.
d)	FOOT SOLDIER (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length.
e)	DEEP DIVE (T Musekiwa) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	MAXIMUS MARMALADUS (L Mxothwa) pulled hard in the early stages.
b)	Leaving the 400m DEEP DIVE (T Musekiwa) was carried out by RACINANTE (C Maujean), which shifted out away from the heels of a tiring MAXIMUS MARMALADUS (L Mxothwa).
c)	At the 250m Jockey Y Ramzan became unbalanced when PRINCE OF HEAVEN which was hanging out, shifted out sharply and had to be straightened.
d)	QUASIMODO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised (LM).
e)	FOOT SOLDIER, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised (LM).
