e)	ST PATRICK'S DAY (*J Solomons) and MERCURIAL JET (X Ndlovu) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	MISS UNITED STATES (D Ashby) proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages.
b)	Jockey X Ndlovu reported that MERCURIAL JET did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
