Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	Fair start.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	SENSO UNICO (C Orffer) cast its left hind shoe at the 100m.
b)	Leaving the 100m SUPER SILVANO (L Mxothwa) had to be checked away from the heels of BARATHEON (K Steyn), which initially shifted in away from the crop and then continued to shift in without sufficient correction. SILVANO'S TIMER (K de Melo), which was momentarily held up behind SUPER SILVANO (L Mxothwa), had to be switched out and SENSO UNICO (C Orffer) had to be steadied away from the heels of ROCKIN' RINGO (J Jacobs) as a consequence.  
c)	Jockey K Steyn was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of BARATHEON he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SUPER SILVANO leaving the 100m. Jockey K Steyn signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates: 23/12/2022 to 29/12/2022 both dates inclusive)
d)	NEXUS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SC)
