THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PIBE DE ORO (M Yeni) was restless in the stalls and thereafter jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) TRIP TO STATES (N Klink) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, WAR OF KINGDOMS (C Zackey) and TOKYO MEDAGLIA (R Munger) were carried out by AMANDLA NGAWETHU (A Fortune), which was directed outwards. Jockey A Fortune appeared before the board and was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in races. b) GIMME A STORM (G Lerena) hung in from the 400m. c) BELLA'S CHARM (R Danielson) commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m. Race 10 contd. e) Jockey A Fortune was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E read with Guideline 3 on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking AMANDLA NGAWETHU forward of the saddle in the concluding stages. Jockey A Fortune signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. d) TOKYO MEDAGLIA (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R R Magner is to be questioned regarding the improved performance of this gelding. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SHAMOON was ridden by Jockey M K Katjedi (declared 1 March 2025 at 17H07). b) BELLA'S CHARM: Jockey R Danielson weighed out at 58,4kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) TRIP TO STATES raced equipped with alumites (declared 26 February 2025 at 16H37). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) BELLA'S CHARM scalp wound right hind.
