THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LITTLE PRINCE (*G Pieterse) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TINDER DRY (N Klink), which over-raced in the early stages, shifted in both ways away from the crop from the 200m. b) Approaching the 300m, BALLY MAGIC (K de Melo), which rolled out from the 450m, and CHASING MAVERICKS (K Matsunyane), which commenced to hang in from the 400m, came together and brushed. c) EARL (J R Syster) hung in from the 200m. d) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with CERULEAN DANCER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) ARLINGTON ACTION (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) BALLY MAGIC: Jockey K de Melo weighed out at 54,6kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BALLY MAGIC raced equipped with blinkers (declared 19 December 2022 at 09H37). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) CERULEAN DANCER examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
